Sometimes a video has had its run, or you uploaded the wrong file. Deleting is quick, but it is final.

From the dashboard

  1. Hover over the video card you want to remove.
  2. Click the trash icon underneath the card.
  3. Confirm in the dialog.

From the video page

  1. Open the video.
  2. Click Delete Video near the top of the page.
  3. Confirm in the dialog.

Deletion is permanent. We do not keep a copy you can restore. If a video matters to you, download a backup before you delete.

What happens after you delete

  • The video file and its thumbnail are removed from storage right away.
  • The storage they were using becomes available straight away in your meter.
  • Any existing share links and embed codes will stop working and show "Video not found" to viewers.
  • The view stats for that video are removed from your analytics totals.

Want to keep the video but stop sharing it

If you'd rather keep the file in your library but stop strangers watching it, set it to private instead. See Setting a video to public or private.
