Questions

Comparison FAQ

Is Vidreno an alternative to Vimeo for video hosting?
Yes, for hosting and embedding. Both host video, play it back in high resolution (Vidreno up to 8K, 60 FPS, 10-bit) and give you an embed code for any site. The plans are shaped differently: Vimeo bundles far more storage (2 TB on its first paid plan), while Vidreno's paid plans bundle far more monthly bandwidth (5TB on Standard at $12 a month, 50TB on Premium at $59, against Vimeo's 2 TB a month on every self-serve plan). Vimeo also offers editing, live-event and marketing tools that Vidreno does not. Read the full hosting comparison
What does Vimeo recommend instead of Vimeo On Demand, and how is Vidreno different?
Vimeo On Demand stopped taking new sales on 21 September 2026 and shuts down completely on 20 November 2026. Vimeo's notice points sellers to Vimeo OTT, a subscription-video platform that charges per subscriber, per purchase or rental and for upload hours (the figures are in the selling table above). Vidreno on Demand prices each film individually as a purchase or a rental (or leaves it free to watch), and charges a flat 10% per sale plus the payment processor's fee, with no subscription. Where do the Vimeo figures come from?
From Vimeo's own pricing pages and help centre articles, read on 23 September 2026; the exact pages are linked under each table. Anything we could not verify on an official Vimeo page is left out rather than estimated. Vidreno's figures are the ones published on our pricing and Vidreno on Demand pages.
Do the prices include tax?
No. Every figure on these pages excludes taxes, and both companies can change their prices at any time. Check the current pricing on both sites before you decide.
