Selling films on demand

Sell your films on demand. The Vimeo On Demand alternative

Vimeo On Demand stopped taking new sales on 21 September 2026 and shuts down completely on 20 November 2026. Vidreno picks up where it leaves off: sell your films, courses and premieres directly to your audience as a purchase or a rental, for a flat 10% per sale plus the payment processor's fee. Questions

Vidreno on Demand FAQ

What is the Vimeo On Demand shutdown timeline?
Vimeo is phasing it out: new sales stopped on 21 September 2026, final seller payouts are due by 21 October 2026, and the platform shuts down completely on 20 November 2026. Vidreno on Demand is built for creators who still want to sell their work directly to their audience. Vimeo's shutdown notice
What is Vidreno on Demand?
It is the selling side of Films. Any film you publish on Vidreno can be free to watch or offered as a purchase, a rental, or both, from its own film page with crew credits and your filmmaker profile.
How much does Vidreno take per sale?
A flat 10% of the price before tax, plus the payment processor's fee. Nothing else is deducted, and free films cost nothing.
Are there restrictions on what I can sell or how I price it?
No. Sell what you make and price it how you like, as a one-time purchase, a rental, or both, or publish it free to watch.
Do I need a paid plan to sell?
No. Selling needs no subscription. Paywalled videos are hosted and delivered outside the plan storage and bandwidth limits, and the flat 10% per sale plus the payment processor's fee is the only cost.
Do I need a separate platform for hosting?
No. Vidreno on Demand runs on your Vidreno account, so hosting, embedding and selling live together. The hosting plans cover the videos you host and embed yourself; what you sell sits outside them. See hosting plans
