Made for watching, not browsing
The website is where films are found and sold. The app is where they are watched.
Your films, in one place
The films you bought or rented, and any free film you open, in a window of its own. No tabs to find, no site chrome around the picture.
Protected playback
Films whose filmmaker switched "Protect this film" on will play here, decoded inside your Mac's secure media pipeline. Screenshots and screen recordings of the player show black on supported devices.
The picture the filmmaker made
The same streaming versions the website serves, up to 8K, 60 fps, 10-bit when the source allows, adapting to your connection, in a full-screen player.
Buy or rent, keep watching
A purchase is yours to stream again; a rental runs for its rental window. The same entitlements as the website, because it is the same account.
One account
Sign in with the Vidreno account you already have. Nothing to re-buy, nothing to import.
Built for the machine it runs on
One universal Mac download for Intel and Apple silicon. The Windows app uses the same code, with protected playback through Widevine.
The best way to watch protected films
Filmmakers can switch "Protect this film" on for any film, free or paid. A protected film is encrypted and only plays where the device can keep the key inside its secure media pipeline.
