Films

A page for every film.Free to watch, or buy and rent.

Films is where filmmakers publish. Each film gets its own page on Vidreno with the player, the trailer, the crew credits and your filmmaker profile, released free to watch or sold on demand as a purchase or a rental.

  • Free to publish and to watch
  • Buy or rent, chosen per film
  • No subscription
Two ways to release

Free to watch, or buy or rent. Your call, per film.

A short can be free while the feature is a rental, and a back catalogue can open up for free once the run is over. Change a film's mode whenever you like.

Free to watch

No price and no paywall. Anyone with the link presses play on the film page. Free films cost you nothing to publish or to host.

  • No plan or subscription
  • No bandwidth to budget for
  • Switch to buy or rent later

Buy or rent

Set a purchase price, a rental price, or both. Viewers pay on the film page and watch there. A flat 10% per sale plus the payment processor's fee, with no subscription.

  • Buy: viewers own it for good
  • Rent: time-limited access for premieres and limited drops
  • Flat 10% plus the processor’s fee, nothing up front
The film page

Everything a film needs, on one page.

Not a video in a feed. A page about the film: who made it, what it is, and how to watch it.

  • The main film and a trailer

Upload the feature and a trailer; viewers see the trailer and the poster before they watch or buy.

  • Crew credits by department

Director, producers, cinematography, editing, sound, music and the rest of the crew, each linking to a filmmaker profile.

  • One link to send anywhere

Festivals, press, your newsletter, your socials: the film page is the destination, and it works on phones.

Profiles & crew credits

Your name on your work.
And your crew's on theirs.

A film is never one person. Vidreno gives every filmmaker a profile and every film its crew credits, so the people who made it are found through it.

  • A profile at your own handle

Your name, roles, bio and links, with every film you have published or been credited on, at vidreno.com/filmmakers/yourhandle.

  • Crew credits on every film

List the director, cinematographer, editor, composer and the rest of the crew on the film page, grouped by department.

  • Crew credits that link to people

Credit a collaborator who is on Vidreno and the credit links to their profile. Not on Vidreno yet? Invite them to claim it.
