Projects

What’s shooting next, and who it needs.

Filmmakers post the project they are making next with the roles they need and what each one pays. Cast, crew, extras and stunt performers apply with their Vidreno filmmaker profile, and everything after that happens in the application thread.

  • Free to post and to apply
  • Pay shown on every role
  • Contact in the app, never by e-mail address

Live now

Projects looking for people

Newest first. 1 project live.

How it works

Post it, staff it, make it.

One place for the project and the people. Filmmakers post; cast and crew apply; the rest is arranged in the application thread.

For filmmakers

  1. 01Post the project

What it is, how it is funded, where and when it shoots, with a cover image, links and your published Vidreno films as previous work. Everything saves as a draft until you publish.

  2. 02Add the roles and what each pays

Cast, crew, extras and stunt performers, each with a count, a short description and the pay: paid at a rate, expenses only, unpaid, or deferred.

  3. 03Review applications in the Studio

Each application arrives with the applicant’s filmmaker profile and a note. Shortlist, accept or decline, and talk in the application thread; nobody’s e-mail address changes hands.

For cast and crew

  1. 01Browse projects and open roles

Filter by type, format, country and remote, or go straight to the open roles on Jobs, where the pay is always shown.

  2. 02Apply with your filmmaker profile

A short note, up to three links and your profile: name, roles, location and the films you have worked on. One application per role.

  3. 03Hear back in the thread

The filmmaker replies inside the application; you are e-mailed on every message and status change, and the thread stays under Your applications in the Studio.

Three kinds of project

Say how it is funded up front.

The type is a badge on the project everywhere it appears, and every role carries its own pay line, so nobody applies without knowing the deal.

Paid job

Roles are paid at the rates listed on each role.

Self-funded

The filmmaker pays out of pocket; pay varies by role.

Passion project

Unpaid or deferred: credit, expenses or a copy of the film.

Trust and safety

Real people, clear terms, a way to report.

Real profiles on both sides

Posting and applying both need a Vidreno creator account with a public filmmaker profile: a name and at least one role. Cards link to the profile, so you can see who you are dealing with.

Contact stays in the app

Applications and messages live in the application thread. E-mail addresses are never shown; notification e-mails link back to the thread.

Report anything, we review it

Every project and role page has a Report link. Admins can hold or remove a project, and the filmmaker is told why. Pay is always stated on the role, never negotiated in the dark.

Coming soon

Community funding

Next for Projects: a way for people who want to see a film made to back it from the project page. It is not available yet, and nothing on Projects moves money today; when it opens, every project will be able to switch it on.

FAQ

Questions about Projects

Who can post a project?
Anyone with a Vidreno creator account (Host & Embed or Films) whose filmmaker profile is public with a display name and at least one role. New creator profiles are public by default, so most people can post straight away. Posting is free.
Who can apply?
The same: a Vidreno creator account with a public filmmaker profile. Actors, crew, extras and stunt performers all use the same profile; choose the roles you work in and apply to the openings that fit.
Does any of this cost money?
No. Posting, applying and messaging are free, and no money moves through Projects. Pay for a role is agreed and settled between the filmmaker and the person they hire.
What do the three project types mean?
Paid job: Roles are paid at the rates listed on each role. Self-funded: The filmmaker pays out of pocket; pay varies by role. Passion project: Unpaid or deferred: credit, expenses or a copy of the film. Every role also carries its own pay line, whatever the project type.
Can I keep a project private?
Yes. A project can be Public, listed here and on Jobs and indexable, or Private · invite only: unlisted, never indexed, and open only to you, admins and the people you invite by handle or by e-mail. You can switch between the two later.
How do I talk to applicants?
Inside the application. Each one has its own thread in the Studio where you and the applicant arrange the rest. Both of you are e-mailed when there is a new message.
What happens when a role is filled?
Mark it filled in the Studio: the role closes on the public page, the remaining applicants are told, and the rest of the project stays open. Closing the whole project turns its page into a read-only record.
How do I get a Vidreno Films account?
Create a free account and choose Films. Your filmmaker profile is part of it; add your name and roles and you can post or apply. Create a Films account

Post what you’re making next.

A project page, the roles with their pay, and applications with a thread for each. Free for filmmakers and for the people they hire.
