Migrate from Vimeo On Demand to Vidreno on Demand
Vimeo On Demand stopped taking new sales on 21 September 2026 and shuts down completely on 20 November 2026. This guide covers what to save from Vimeo while you still can, and how to get your films, courses and premieres back on sale with a flat 10% per sale.
Vimeo On Demand shutdown timeline
Checked against Vimeo's shutdown notice on 23 September 2026; the notice remains the source of truth if anything changes.

Steps 1 and 2 below depend on Vimeo still being online. Do them before 20 November 2026.
From Vimeo export to first Vidreno sale
Two steps on Vimeo's side, five on Vidreno's. There is no approval queue and no onboarding call.

1
Save your sales data and fan emails from Vimeo
Vimeo's seller FAQ recommends exporting your sales data from the On Demand analytics dashboard before 20 November 2026, and lets you export the email addresses of fans who opted in to updates as a CSV from your On Demand page settings. Do both first: neither is available after the shutdown. Vimeo's seller FAQ

2
Download your original files
Vimeo says the videos behind your On Demand titles stay in your Vimeo library, so this is about holding your own copy rather than beating a deadline. Vimeo's help centre explains how to download each file from your library. How to download a video from your Vimeo library

3
Create your Vidreno account
Sign up in minutes. Selling needs no subscription: the same account hosts your videos and runs your storefront, and paywalled videos sit outside the plan storage and bandwidth limits. Create a free account
-
4
Upload your films, courses and premieres
Drag and drop MP4, MOV or AVI files up to 1 TB each. They are processed for playback on the global CDN, at up to 8K, 60 FPS, 10-bit.
-
5
Choose how each title is sold
Per film, pick a one-time purchase, a rental, or both, and set the prices; a film can also be free to watch. Vidreno takes a flat 10% per sale plus the payment processor's fee, and you keep the rest. No restrictions on what you sell or how you price it.
-
6
Replace your Vimeo On Demand links
Each title gets a link to share. Put the new links wherever your Vimeo storefront was linked: your website, newsletter, social bios and any press or festival pages you control.
-
7
Tell your audience where you went
Vimeo says it notifies viewers about the shutdown itself, and it offers to tell your buyers where you went only if you move to Vimeo OTT, so reaching your audience is up to you. Email the fans you exported in step 1 with your new links. Purchases made on Vimeo do not carry over to any other platform, so say clearly that your catalogue now lives on Vidreno. Remind buyers that their access on Vimeo ends on 20 November 2026 and, if you enabled downloads on your titles, that they should download their purchases before then.
