# Road to Ruin The Seriously Series team takes on one of Australia’s last frontiers: the 1,850-kilometre Canning Stock Route, one of the world’s longest historic stock routes. Four explorers. Two Land Rovers. Three deserts. No backup. Departing Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, the team heads for Wiluna and the beginning of an expedition that will test both man and machine. Ahead lies a punishing landscape of endless corrugations, sharp spinifex, choking dust and temperatures exceeding 40°C. With no towns, service stations or outside support along the route, the team must carry everything they need and rely on their own skills to keep moving. Their vehicles are a 1975 Land Rover Series III and a 2014 Land Rover Defender. But trouble strikes from the very first day, as mechanical problems plague the ageing Series III and threaten to derail the expedition. Two weeks into the journey, at the halfway point, a major mechanical failure leaves the team facing their toughest challenge yet. With both vehicles to consider and civilisation still a long way off, they must work together, improvise repairs and find a way out of the desert. *Road to Ruin* is a raw outback adventure about exploration, mechanical ingenuity and the determination to overcome adversity when there is no easy way out.
